The Whale's Jaw Bone Arch, near Portaferry

Old postcard. It's not there any more, but I know a few folk who saw it. And you thought fancy garden features only appeared on tv! Click to enlarge.

Yep I well remember seeing this most Sunday afternoons as my father took us for a run in the car round the Ards Peninsula. Always tried to imagine what size the whale must have been.
Thanks for the privilege of allowing me to sing with you and Graham ... loved it!

I know this was posted ages ago, but I'd like to say something interesting!
I lived in this house for 5 years a while ago, and while I was playing with my dog in the garden I had found some strange things in the ground before so I decided to do some digging. Lo and behold, I hit something with my shovel and found these jaw bones buried there! i'm nearly certain they were taken by the maritime museum but I can't be sure! It was very exciting to find them : )
