I love that y'all have a storytelling center to. When did yours take off?
We have one like it in Jonesboro TN - they really settled in during the 1990's if I recall right. Just up the street from where ol' Andy Jackson - as a judge - had the sheriff deputize him so he could go arrest that troublesome Bean character *himself* - as no one else was willing to tangle with him.
